Charlie Bromberg
Regional Pentest Manager
Session Title:
The gloomy future of penetration testing
Session Synopsis:
Penetration testing is a fairly recent activity conducted or employed by many companies wordwide. It allows them to map and correct known vulnerabilities and TTPs in order to decrease their cybersecurity risks. Many people think that pentesting has a bright future ahead since the cyber menace never ends to increase. While this is absolutely true, my keynote will aim at presenting the threats that arise. While hacking hasn’t always been about information technology, this association is now often intended. And as it turns out, for the last decades, new structural technologies have been emerging at an insane rate that keeps going. o Will ethical hackers be able to follow that pace, and keep offering high quality pentests so that companies stay secure against cyberattacks? Nowadays, newcomers in ethical hacking work hard to try and catch up 60 years of hacking concepts.
About Charlie
He's currently leading the offensive security activities in the South of France for Capgemini. Also known as “Shutdown”,
Charlie is the creator of many resources including “The Hacker Recipes” (hacking docs) and the “Exegol” project (allowing hackers to deploy a secure and contained pentesting environment in minutes).
