"Community" has become a word we use a lot, as a symbol of good intentions. The term itself connects us. In a simple, natural, and fundamentally human manner.
Since its birth, Măgurele Science Park Association (MSP) has turned community development into a leitmotif of its activity. MSP is the catalyst of the community developed around the Măgurele Science Park investment strategic project, a project of particular regional importance.
MSP role is to create bridges and promote collaboration between research, business, public administration, and NGOs. Through activities with and about the community that has over 200 members, MSP succeeds in increasing the entrepreneurial spirit and facilitating the dissemination and use of research and innovation results in the market and in society, along with involving, at the same time, in supporting a healthy education, adapted to the challenges that new technologies bring to the front.
For the MSP team, the constant exchange of knowledge and the creation of connections are the main values that guide daily work.
One of the main projects that MSP is involved in is PROSME - Promotion of SMEs in Romania through the Enterprise Europe Network, a project that assists enterprises in their transition to more economically, socially, and environmentally sustainable businesses.
The MSP experts that are involved in the project offer support and partnership services to SMEs and other organizations in order to increase their sustainable development, digitization, and resilience in areas such as access to the Single Market, internationalization, and innovation.
The partnership services are free of charge and are offered in various sectors of activity, from the agricultural, industrial, energy, construction, and transport sectors, to the commercial, communications, health, and education sectors.
A possible commercial/business collaboration or transnational technology/ knowledge transfer may result from the promotion in the Enterprise Europe Network international database of the business/ technology profile made in collaboration with the EEN network experts.
Among the support services offered regarding the improvement of the company's performance are:
✔️ business analysis to identify its needs or to determine solutions to its problems;
✔️ analysis of the level of technological development with the aim of establishing performance and technological opportunities;
✔️ analysis of innovation management capacity with the aim of increasing technological competitiveness and performance in the creation of innovative, new, or improved products, services, and processes;
✔️ analysis of the level of digital innovation, to increase the development capacity of automated products and services that can bring immediate benefits to the user;
✔️ analysis of the company's performance from the point of view of sustainability, in order to facilitate the transition to an efficient and supported business model from an economic, ecological, and social point of view.
What have the first 21 months of the PROSME project meant for the MSP team? Transformation, improvement, diversification.
In terms of KPIs, we are currently proud of achieving more than what was set in the project, which means that we have supported our clients to achieve their goals of accessing international markets and develop businesses more and faster, through information and training services; business connections during matchmaking events co-organized with other network partners; assistance for innovation and launch on the international market or assistance in changing business models. In addition, the EEN network offers a combination of learning opportunities, personalized advice, and support to find the best partnerships.
This includes how companies can access the funding they need to grow, how they can innovate, how they can navigate the rules of the EU single market and third countries, and how they can find trading partners - MSP project coordinator, Roxana Lupașcu.
