At the very heart of this year's event stands our Star Speaker: Fredrik Gran, Swedish composer and sonic visionary, together with his creation that has left critics speechless from Munich to Montreal: The Robot Cellist.

Fredrik Gran’s robotic cellist has performed with the Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra, International Contemporary Ensemble in New York, London City Philharmonics, and the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz Orchestra in Munich. As a multi-award-winning composer, including 1st prize at the London Music Society International Composers Competition, Fredrik’s work is a stunning example of what happens when engineering precision meets artistic vision at the highest level.
